What dog have the lowest affect on human allergies?
All dogs produce dead skin flakes which is the allergen, even the balding animals still do the same. This is call dander and is the cause of the problem. However nearby are several ethical shampoos on the market to cut dander...much the same as shampoos that relieve dandruff within people. I suggest that you do not use such shampoos on a dog, as the pH is different from humans and may produce a rash on the animal.
Chihuahua
Well, it's still debateable as to WHAT make a person allergic to cats and dogs.
Some believe it's the dander (shedding) and some believe its' in fact the oils surrounded by the skin.
Schnauzers (mini, standard, or giant) are supposedly GREAT with allergy sufferers because they do not shed.
I know mine doesn't, she's a mini-schnauzer...and my kids enjoy allergies, but she doesn't bother them.
