It can return with bigger as it most likely will, similar to when you pick all scabs, it can obtain even more so infected, and the coldsore can spread, as you are putting the virus on your fingers, and can transmit it to other people, or other places on your body.
Usually hurts, if it have puss in it next it oozes and take much longer to heal. I dont hold them but Ive got a friend that suffers next to them. If you would like I could ask her what she uses to put together them go away. I know its something over the counter, but Im unsure of what it is. Hope this help, I would not pick it if I were you. If you already did, basically leave it alone.
