What effect of a decrease intake of iron hold on the hematocrit?
Iron is needed for your body to make hemoglobin, an essential component of red blood cell. Therefore, if you decrease your iron intake, your body will burn through its iron stores over time, and eventually your hematocrit will drop as your body runs out of the natural materials necessary to label new red blood cell.
