What are the little bumps on my cranium?

I am a african american who is growing an afro and i have little bumps on my cranium that itch sometimes any idea what they could be or what is cause them.What are the little bumps on my cranium?
Sounds like they could be the typical "bumps" that some afro-americans find on their faces and head. My husband has them. They are usually cause by ingrown hairs and are more prone to afro-americans because of the coarser and curlier tresses types.

It could be ingrown hairs...try a tea tree grease medicated shampoo that should help any irritation...except see a dermatoligist
Could be caused by any the shampoo or hair gel.Now I use no gel and changed shampoo and bumps are going away.Could be a fungus.
They might be Hives. Do some research on the network and decide whether to wish treatment.
